Discover the National Anzac Centre and its stunning surrounds.
Set within a 250-hectare parkland in Albany, WA, the National Anzac Centre stands on Mt Clarence and Mt Adelaide, overlooking the waters from which over 41,000 ANZAC troops departed for WWI. It offers a powerful connection to Australia’s military legacy.
Follow the real-life stories of 32 servicemen and women through immersive exhibits that trace their journeys from enlistment to the frontlines of Gallipoli, the Western Front, and the Middle East. Multimedia displays, personal artifacts, trench reconstructions, and the “Faces of Conflict” exhibit bring their experiences to life.
Pause in the reflection room with views over King George Sound, where audio excerpts recall the emotions of departure. Explore convoy maps, signals, and striking audio-visuals that capture the ANZAC spirit of bravery and mateship.
Afterwards, wander Albany Heritage Park to visit memorials including the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, Padre White Lookout, and the Avenue of Honour—offering reflection, history, and sweeping coastal views.
